  3. Digitizer Technology hereby grants to you, and you accept, a non-exclusive
  4. license to use one copy of the Virtual Tablet Interface on a single computer
  5. only. You acknowledge and agree that the Virtual Tablet Interface is a 
  6. proprietary product of Digitizer Technology and is protected under US
  7. copyright law, international treaty provisions, and trade secrets of general
  8. applicability. You further acknowledge and agree that all rights, title, and
  9. interest in and to the Virtual Tablet Interface are and shall remain with
  10. Digitizer Technology. You may retain one copy of the original program disk(s)
  11. solely for backup purposes after loading the Virtual Tablet Interface in a
  12. single computer, or you may make one copy of the Virtual Tablet Interface
  13. solely for backup purposes. You may not rent, lease, disassemble, decompile,
  14. or reverse engineer the Virtual Tablet Interface. This license shall be
  15. construed and governed in accordance with the laws of the State of
  16. Washington. Should any term of this license be declared unenforceable by any 
  17. court of competent jurisdiction, such declarations shall have no effect on the
  18. remaining terms hereof.

  20. DIGITIZER TECHNOLOGY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES RELATING TO THIS SOFTWARE,
  21. WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED
  22. WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. DIGITIZER
  23. TECHNOLOGY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL,
  24. INDIRECT OR SIMILAR DAMAGES DUE TO LOSS OF DATA OR ANY OTHER REASON, EVEN IF
  25. DIGITIZER TECHNOLOGY OR AN AGENT OF DIGITIZER TECHNOLOGY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF
  26. THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL DIGITIZER TECHNOLOGY'S
  27. LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES EVER EXCEED THE PRICE PAID FOR THE LICENSE TO USE
  28. THE SOFTWARE REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF CLAIM. THE PERSON USING THE SOFTWARE
  29. BEARS ALL RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE.

  52. The demo version of the Virtual Tablet Interface may be distributed as
  53. set forth herein. Registered versions may not be distributed in any
  54. form whatsoever. The Virtual Tablet Interface may not be offered for
  55. sale, or included with another product offered for sale without the
  56. express written permission of Digitizer Technology. This includes, but
  57. is not limited to, "public domain / shareware" disks or hard disk
  58. drives containing "public domain / shareware" which are sold for
  59. profit. National services such as CompuServe, GEnie, CONNECT, America
  60. Online; BBSs which charge a fee for membership but not for each
  61. download; and non-profit, valid computer user groups or clubs may
  62. distribute the demo version in its entirety only. (Note that the demo
  63. version has a mechanism built in to limit its use to a 21-day trial
  64. period. If you distribute the demo version you must do so with an
  65. unused copy as downloaded from the networks.)
